January 2023 – Weddings and a styled shoot starts the year off for Creative Collections

It is so hard to believe that we are now in the last week of January 2023. We had a busy start to the year, with three beautiful weddings at Crowcombe Court and a styled shoot at Double Tree by Hilton, Cadbury House, Congresbury.

Working with Cadbury House we decided to pull together a styled shoot with other wedding professionals, with a hint of a spring theme. Cadbury House was originally built in 1790 and nestles on 6 acres of landscaped gardens at the foot of Cadbury Hill, making this an ideal backdrop for your wedding. It is a stylish and contempory boutique style hotel with several function rooms ideal for weddings, parties and conferences. We are proud to be recommended suppliers for Cadbury House.

Working alongside some inspired professionals, the styled shoot was separated over 3 rooms.  The Drawing Room for the ceremony, The Bar (beside Marco Pierre white’s restaurant) for a fun and creative bride and groom shoot and The Great Room for wedding table décor and bridal shots

We started with a ceremony set up in the drawing room – we kept this bright with lots of whites, ivory and a subtle hint of sage green.

We had the pleasure of having 2 celebrants to make it look like a real ceremony with a bride, Groom and bridesmaid models dressed in beautiful wedding dresses, bridesmaid dress and suit.

Collaborating with the photographers and videographer and being open to their ideas we had fun being creative in all areas especially the bar, I drew ideas from the props available like the white piano, chandelier and black and white winged chair. We managed to get some beautiful, styled images by not feeling restrained and working together.

For the Great room, I had tables set for a wedding breakfast, with table centrepieces in a spring theme. Using glass cylinder vases filled with ivy wrapped twigs, blossom and pussy willow branches, willow, fairy lights and dried hydrangea heads alongside smaller glass cylinder vases of floating candles, for the soft feel of candlelight.  For the place settings, we used gold beaded glass charger plates topped with knotted blush pink napkins and bowed top table napkins to finish the look.

We used other surrounding areas and staircase of the venue for extra model and inspirational shots
